  • This was in Canada in 04' at Lil' Big Horn. there is a DVD of this whole show. Hubert Sumlin was on it, CJ Chienier as well. Great show. Blues on The East Side is the name of the DVD on Electro-Fi Records site out of Toronto.

  • Gary Ramussen is the BEST!

  • what a great cover

  • Would love to see the photos.

  • Gary was Alvin's bassist and recorded Alvin's album, "Motivational Speaker" on Tone Cool/Artimus Records with him. Toured with him most of '04 and again recently to Europe last November. He digs playing with him, hopefully they will have a chance to work together in the future.

  • My buddy sent me some pics from the show that he took, real cool. From the looks of them, Gary Rasmussen played more than just this song, perhaps the whole set?

That's what my pal said too, Cambridge Blues Fest. He mentioned Hubert Sumlin as well. A while ago he sent me pics of himself with both Sumlin and Youngblood. Cool stuff.

  • Yeah, that is Gary Rasmussen of Sonic's Rendezvous Band playing this song with Alvin, Ed Michael's on drums, I was there at the Toronto show as well. This was recorded the night after the Tornoto show which was at Jeff Healy's club. This show was in Cambridge Ont at Lil' Big Horn. Same show that Hubert Sumlin was on. That's all on the DVD

  • I got my buddy in Toronto to watch this, not knowing where this was from, just that it's on old SRB song and with the old SRB bass player. Turns out, my friend was at this show sitting 10 feet from the stage. I'm gonna have to check this dvd out. Thanks.

  • awesome cover! high energy rock and roll to the man!

  • ..i slow down just to take a look..YEAH YEAH YEAH
