An edited version of a ride through the fire affected areas of Victoria from Saturday 2nd February 2009, six weeks after the devastation. There is still much heartache and emotion amoungst residents so I'd encourage those who want to sticky beak not to stop and take photos, but to spend money on donations and at local stores and leave the area quickly. For us riders, make sure you register now for the April 5th charity ride at www.rideforthehills.org.au
Unbelievable - that this is what it looks like now. I assume this too, all used to be beautiful green forest. Thanks for posting.
Can't believe it's ... gone!?

Couldn't help but tear up whilst watching this, even after the 4th time :(
I drove the same roads shown in this vid 1 week before the fires, as I was planning to ride through St Andrews-Kinglake-Whittlesea at some point thereafter. The areas now appear unrecognizable :(
Congratulations to the organisers in recalling one of the saddest day Australians endured.
WE WILL ALL BE THERE FOR YOU, one way or another.

Well done on a touching vid. This is exactly why so many riders are joining us in support of those affected.
