make sure the jigler pin in vertical with the engine, and the two bolts torqued to 7 to 8 lbs. also make sure that the thermostat doesn't fall out of the housing before you tighten in up.

  • the gasket was a rubber one that went around the thermostat before if was installed

  • You may want to put some anti- seizing compound on the threads of those bolts (iron to aluminum) so the next time the thermostat needs to be replaced the bolts will come off nice and easy. "Too much strength may break them and a 20 minutes job may turn in a 2 days job" Bin there done that.

  • Becarefull with the bolts. Too much strenght may break them and a 20 minutes job may turn in a 2 days job. It happened to me and really sucks when you do not have the proper tools to fix that issue.
