The audience is actually clapping on beat. It's just that the hall creates lots of reverb, and the clapping takes a while to get to the camera. They're clapping offbeats, which is totally fine musically since this is a jazzy rendition ;)

i can understand a few in the audience like my dad wouldn't be able to keep a beat but likes joining in and i slap him around for it because it does my head in clapping out of time xD if they played any less perfect i wouldn't be here listening to it XD

@Jpec07 concert halls are big, timing is off because they wernt part of the concert for one and for two sound travel makes it difficult for anyone to be correct to other people . each individual person could be correct in their own timing from hearing it themselves but the recording could be way off because the equipment doing the recording is farther away form the clapping then the orchestra itself
