mysteriously losing my right pole on straight wire, it became wedged in the switch. Waiting for a push to release it, I would like to apologize to all of the people stuck in NB traffic for those long fifteen minutes..heh

  • lol did the pole just get ripped off when it got wedged?

  • Wow, now 130 has been scraped at Westwood garage this year and 19 others. There is only 29 trolleys left in service this fall. The scraping has already begun with two trolley routes (route 5,7) leaving only 5 trolley routes left (route 3,9,120,133,135). They will continue to operate with trolleys till 2010 when the replacement hybrid buses come. The trolleys are slowly going to fade away between now and then.

  • Thanks for the confirmation; it looked like it was. I've been following the discussion and vote on the trolleybuses from there in the UK. Yes, shame on Edmonton! I visited in 2006 and managed to drive 130 around Westwood garage. A great experience!

  • Yes it is, I live in Edmonton and I ride on them everyday. Sadly on June 18, 2008 Edmonton city council voted to scrap the trolley system by 2010. Shame on Edmonton!

  • He said New Brunswick traffic so... no.

  • Oh dear.

    I presume this is Edmonton?

  • what happened??...I think one of the poles is in the wrong wire! Did it get stuck?
