Meguiar's #105 by Rotary

L200 Steve & Epoch from Detailing World trying the new polish from Meguiar's on a W7006 cutting pad to remove oxidation and defects from paintwork. The Meguiar's #105 doing in one hit what #83 was taking two and a bit hits to do. Not a pretty set of polishing, but it did the job.

-car is dirty -poor masking technique -lack of attention to detail -too much pressure on the buffer -poor control of the buffer -not keeping the pad flat -speed is way too high -wiping the residue with wrong cloth -wiping residues with the edge of the towel -shaving too much clearcoat for oxidation only -no light at all -not giving a crap about the result. sir, find another job...

I thought this was one of those videos where the guy burns the paint on purpose. I was waiting for the smoke cloud, ha.

You don't ever need to work compound for that long, and with that much pressure. You're lucky you didn't burn through. Especially on that old paint.
