The One Ford strategy starts off in a big way with a small car. Instead of developing different models for different continents, Ford is now building vehicles the whole world will get. Tom Voelk looks at the Fiesta SES hatchback that shows a domestic manufacturer really can make a great small car.

  • that boot could easily hold five, just put one laying across the top... or just fold the seats down, honestly some car reviewers are idiots these days...

  • @jaffacake1578 Here's the deal on that test, it's done with the seat backs up. If it's a three row vehicle I do both 3rd row up and stowed. Also, for so many reasons, the hatch has to be able to close. That's why five won't fit in Fiesta, even with the squishy nature of the TP bundles.

Please send me the URL to your reviews, I'm always looking for ways to make mine better. Thanks! The Idiot

  • i only have a question,actually my dad does...!!

if anyone break your car and barg in,he can swich it on just by using this button in 1:44 ??

i mean...it is dangerous if that exists! it can be soo easily stolen...right??

please if anybody know...just let me know too!! :D

    thanks!!

  • @1993helengirl No it can't be stolen by just pushing the button. There is a "key", a proximity sensor really, and it has to be in your possession. Just keep in in your pocket or purse. My wife loves this feature. FYI, not all Fiesta's have it. The one I'm driving now uses a standard key. TV

  • Thanks for catching that Dawgator. Yes, the Rapid Spec Package 301A adds $795 to the price of an SES hatch. I believe the monroney that came with the car wasn't complete.

There's another gaffe in the piece, I speak of a 6-speed manual transmission. Doesn't exist. That should have been read as "6-speed automatic". Obviously didn't have my coffee that day... My apologies to everyone.

  • I wish I could trade my 1990 Festiva for a new Fiesta.....

  • @davidhalifax There are plenty of tall or fat people in Europe. Even small skinny people in North America don't buy small cars. I think it's because too many people associate small cars with economy vehicles here. It's disappointing.

  • @famousamosguy ... true, although I do like the Fiesta if I was single and don't need to take passengers regularaly ... it's just not practical for the North American market who are generally 'bigger' in size ...

  • A wonderful compact car.

  • @davidhalifax It's funny you say 'small' yet in Europe this car is considered medium to large.

  • @order9066 That's odd. They're selling really well where I live in Los Angeles.

  • is there a sport version for this car?.. and by sport i mean like focus st style :)

  • High definition video, comfort to watch.

  • 9.5 seconds 0-60???F_CK are you kidding me?

Whyyyy bring the Euro fords to Canada????

  • @order9066 why the fu*k would you compare a fiesta with a sienna?
