On day 14 of our safari we flew to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. There is no doubt that the Mara is the place where the "Big Five: roam and the scene of the great migration. Prior to setting foot into camp we came across the wildebeests making their long trek north from Tanzania to this corner of Kenya. Dwindling grazing and dried up waterholes force the army of herbivores north. The Mara River, although the most foul smelling river I've meet is packed with grunting hippos and huge crocodiles. Lions in trees, Ostriches dancing and Maasai giraffe babies are all part of our first day in the Mara.
