I like this comment by paulianna1 about the 'waking from bed' voice, and indeed this advice about the Penn film which I am just about to watch. I actually only discovered Viggo Mortenssen two days ago, so I'm a little behind the rest of the world. It seems everyone else likes him too. Of course he's not really American is he, he's Swedish. I think he's Swedish. Somewhere Nordic and cold at any rate.
