When WW1 started the indian wars was just 30 years before.
Meaning Veterans that fought has teenagers in the indian wars were now full grown men enlisting to go fight in europe's wars. If not veterans then there Children of veterans were going in droves.
There was a Story/experience from Canadian troops that had Captured German Soldiers. The Germans POW's were told from their commanding officers that the Canadian army was made up of strictly Native Americans in Uniforms.
