  • I got near the jack pot area of central LI with 11.3" final using the 6 hour snowfall totals from the NWS guidelines.

    North Haven,CT - 11.3"

    0.3" (First Wave) + 9.0" (Main Storm) + 2.0" (Upper Level Low)

  • so much for 12-24" for all the big cities...6-12" for all the cities would have been better. But looking back that seemed like an under forecast.

    I just wanted to make one point it seems with almost every storm the liquid totals are always 90% or so less than what the models put out. The precip for all the cities after the event was only around .5-.8 even for the jackpot around islip only got .85. Each year i get wiser and im noticing this with everystorm models just put out too much qpf.
