Kalash is a copper or brass pot. It is filled 2/3 or half with water or with rice and some mango leaves are placed at the mouth of the pot with a coconut nestled in the arrangement of leaves. Metal resonates very well and all the prayers/mantras etc, will energize the copper or brass pot that retains the energies of the Divine Blessings for a long time. This copper pot or brass pot delivers/infuses what I describe as "booster shots" of energy over time when kept at home.

This is a video of the Kalash Puja performed by Cosmic Beings and Dasajis (monks) in the Oneness Temple. Acharya Samadarshini ji explains in the regional language of Telugu, and asks people to get a clean bowl or glass of water (or copper pot if you use one in prayers) and fill it with water. Hold your palms and hand with outstretched fingers over the pot and intend that the Divine Grace and Blessings flow into the water.

After the puja (prayer) ceremony, this water becomes blessed and is potent in healing. It is said, in eastern spiritual literature, that even ordinary water blessed by the Divine ones turns to powerful medicine. Faith is what makes the Grace flow! The deeper your emotional bond, and faith the more the volume of the Grace.

So the volume of Grace is directly proportional to
(1) the strength of your intent
(2) the number of people you wish to serve,
(3) the bond you have with the divine, and
(4) the faith that miracles and healings will happen, apart from your karma.

After the puja, the eldest in the family (grandparents or parents or any elder) will take the water and (with leaves from Mango or other trees) sprinkle a few drops of water from this bowl or glass onto the head and bodies of the family members and friends assembled. (You can use a spoon too). Then, chanting the moola mantra thrice, you can then sip the water (a spoonful or so) after receiving it in the cupped palm of your right hand (left palm or hand cradling the right).

Acharya ji further suggests that you can use this water to heal friends or family, or others who may be ailing. She also asks that we do not waste the water thus blessed. (Sprinkle on self, others, or sprinle it walking around the home/business to bless, then sip or drink it as something blessed by the divine).

If you like this, watch this TV BroadCast segment on Samskruthi Channel (changed now to TV 1) on your PC at 9:30 EST USA Time.

Next Acharaya ji promises another special episode next weekend of blessings specially for students.
