This is a little duck that my neighbor found alone in her pool. She has cats, so she was nervous about letting the duck stay at her house, so we babysat him overnight. The next day she picked him up and took him to the Placerita Nature center where he could be raised by pros and returned to the wild.
I didn't have any commercial duckfood, so I went online for some emergency foods to give him. I found some sites that recommended hardboiled egg yolk and finely cut vegetables so that's what I gave him. You have to feed the duck with a water source nearby so they can "wash it down" otherwise they choke. He was HUNGRY!!! I had to feed him small amounts and take away the plate because he started to eat too fast.
