We found this baby bird in our backyard in San Diego, California. The next day we saw that the bird was still there and could not fly away. We then noticed a small California King Snake roaming around the baby bird. I scared the snake off and decided to pick the baby bird up and put him in a pot with a small tree to keep it safe. I was happy to see that the mother bird was still taking care of the baby bird by feeding it throughout the day. I have had to put him back into the pot a few times while wearing gloves to try and not leave my scent. The mother bird seems to be okay with it because she has watched me a few times pick the baby bird up and put him back in the pot. It has been three days now that the baby bird has been in our pots and it seems to be getting bigger. I think that it should be able to fly in a few more days. In just three days, I have noticed the baby bird being able to fly a few feet higher than before. I will update this video while I can, before the baby bird gets too big and flies off. The mother bird feeds the baby bird constantly throughout the day and the baby is growing fast.
