he puts bits and pieces of his soul into it when you watch the movie you will understand a bit better but basically he gave each of those ragdolls a part of his soul

so if the professor made all of those ragdolls...or did he...how could he make 9 ragdolls out of his 1 soul? thats wat he uses 2 give them life

The reason it seems so short is because a movie goes by quickly when you enjoy it. It's actually 1 1/2 hours.
