  • Watched the whole tournament. Voss was 3 for 3 with the straight balls!

  • He won at least two other titles in Don Carter houses--one in 1989 (in Louisiana; that tournament actually bore Don Carter's name) and one in 1990 (Homestead, FL).

  • Wow, Voss won this tournament put on by Paula Carter and 18 years later won the Don and Paula Carter doubles tournament. That's pretty ironic! I guess that Carter name must give him some good luck.

  • Ah, the catbird's seat. I'm used to hearing that on ESPN.

  • I wanted Sullins to win this tournament against Voss.

  • You're right nydanno85. Brian called the city of Boca Raton, Florida his hometown.

  • I think Voss lived Florida at the time. That and the fact that he was always a fan favorite probably helped him along a bit.

  • voss is boss dude

  • Sullens' set-up, approach and delivery reminds me alot of the great Mark Roth....The cocked wrist and the power.

  • WOW, you can really tell the crowd difference for both bowlers!
