Plot summary: Elizabeth, the daughter of Mrs. Bennet, meets Mr. Darcy, a wealthy gentleman who isn't very popular among Elizabeth's acquaintances. Love this version! Austen wasn't part of my k-12 curriculum, but I caught this movie one night on KQED and that led me to read P&P and Persuasion and to generally go Austen mad :D

This is brilliant! I love it! I think all versions should be free for all to see because this is a truly wonderful classic.

Why did they put them is such horrible dresses! Totally wrong period. Some very odd bits in this and changes in plot. Also no trip to Derbyshire, no Pemberley and no Georgianna. Lizzie has some nice lines, not from the book.
