You should try import a used model. Avis or Hertz in South Africa should be able to sell you a used one. The Microbus is still manufactured in SA as it is used by the small tour companies.

I tried for years to import one to the U.S.A. South Africa VW will not do it. Not for all the money in the world. Beautiful Vanagon...Cute commercial.

I DIDN'T REALIZE VW PUT THE 5 CYL. IN THE VANAGON----I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION ONLY THE EUROVAN FROM 93--UP HAD THE AUDI 5 CYL. LIVE AND LEARN!
