i didnt see where the MB "beat" the R8....in the long run R8 will win...MB has a bigger engine with more torque....so from a stand still its like a muscle car.

The newest e550's are going to be twin turbo v8's with 30 more hp than the n/a models. And to the guy that said all Non AMG Mercedes are not audible u obviously never driven a cl600, those are fast

@ereska18 actualy the e550 coupe performs alot better than what mb says because amg owners would b pissed if they knew the regular non AMG models is just as fast for half the price

I really do wish E550s made a noise like that! Unfortunately they are very quiet and from outside, they sound similar to someone exhaling heavily through a paper towel roll. I've driven every 2001+ model year Mercedes sold in America, from the c230 hatch to the SLR, with the exception of the SL65 Black. I know all about them. The AMG models are the only ones that are audible, except the SLK's and newer C-classes, they have a clean sound when you get on them!

@gtojakey it was the sound of v8 e550 no the r8. if he closed the window he'd go even more faster i say haha.
