Computex Taipei 2009: A newcomer that has just popped up recently is a company called InnoDisk and they are all about memory and SSD related products.

We hooked up with Steven and others who gave us a video introduction of their amazingly small and impressive 128GB Nano SSD drives. Also explained is the storage revolution moving from 3.5 inch hard disk drive, 2.5 inch SSDs and down to Nano SSDs.

  • love the vibration test... becuse I Need one of those for when i turn on my sexy toys

  • @frontier1701 way cooler use less power meaning batterie life is far longer and the speed is 0.1 seek time. This will really beat your 5400 rpm harddrive to bits.

I am looking at getting one when they are dollar for meg like the Raptors but for not you can get like me a 10K 2.5 Drive for $300 bucks which is as good as a SSD in a Laptop. But uses alot of Batterie so keep it pluged.

  • @Dorisequador I am starting to see my Mac mini slow down a bit..... (I need 8gb) If they would get that cost of that SSD down, I might buy 1.... Do they run cooler than a 2.5" 5400rpm drive??

  • @frontier1701 Let me tell ya the future is no more moving parts.

Menaing you can have a terrible bumpy ride on your equipment with no damage

Speed .01 seek time.. Where every Raptor which runs at a super speed of 10K has a seek time and delivery of 4 x to 8x to 12x slower depending upon the drive.

This is huge when video editing or using it for bussiness means.

If you are a graphic artist go Mac.

I personally would go 15K running in Raid but thats me Unless I used a Laptop.

  • SSD provides what benefit???? Substantially higher price.... what do I get????
