Probably my favorite REO Speedwagon song. Written by Gary Richrath, who in my opinion wrote much better songs than Kevin Cronin.

when i was in tenth grade,a girl sat next to me in art class.her name was Cherie Wright.she was a wonderful girl and we became good friends.she was all excited about the reo concert coming up the next day after the concert i couldn't wait to hear about it,but that day she wasn't there.we were told the next day she was found in an alley the next day,raped and murdered.I was devastated.37 years yesterday i listened to golden country and all those feelings came rushing back.this is for Cherie.
