Mannefreddes marscherande

A marching caique. This video is made during our renovation after a waterdamage in both kitchen and bathroom. All kitchen inventory is stacked on top of each other. Mannfred decided to have a marching session. She enjoys doing that.

She also bounces up and down the ordinary caique way.

how old is she? Did she take to Kurt when they met, or did it take some time? My birds name is Cleo and she will be 2 years in november. I was thinking of getting her a boyfriend also.

Mannfred (a boys name here in Sweden, but DNA testing wasn´t done untill she was 5,5 so...)

Now Mannfred is 8 years old and Kurt moved in 2 years ago. Kurt is 14 years and he was 12 when he came to us.

The first night we had them in each cage but the 2nd night they lived together. Mannfred was a bit reluctant to here new roommate as she preferred cokatoos (we were "stepparents" to a cockatoo named Henning for 7 years and Mannfred had him as her best friend till she was almost 3 years old).

PArt 2:

After the first 2 weeks they started fighting so we kept them in separate cages when we were not at home (when we are at home they are out of the cage except when it is time to sleep or we do cooking in the kitchen)We had to do this for about 2 weeks if I remember correctly and then we just put them together again and they are a team since then.

We did not do as we should have but our way worked perfectly and they really like each other.

I also have a caique and she is so funny.  I love this video!!!!!!! This bird is having such a good time, i love watching her!!!

Caiques are wonderful birds and they are also very eager to do things all the time.

Nowadays she has a boyfriend named Kurt and they are already a really tight team.
