The White Death in the song is referring to Simo Hayha, one of the best snipers in the world with the highest kill count(505) in any major war in the last century. In the Winter War, the Red Army named him the White Death due being covered in white camo. in the -40 to -20 degree Celcius winter hiding in the snow. He did not use a scope for his rifle. The Russians tried counter snipers and shelling him, he was later shot in the face during a battle and woke up one week later when the war ended.

@cykey21 Around 500 kills with his rifle and about 200 kills with his sub machine gun.
He deserves all my respect :)

The Russians invaded Finland so that they could take scandinavia and have a clear path to invade America , also to be able to attack werhmacht

Wow, an actual conversation on Youtube and not a bunchof special olmpics wanabes.

@TGTnewage If I remember it correctly, one of the main reasons the Russians invaded Finland was so that the Germans could not use the country as a pathway into Russia, or major cities like Leningrad, as they were concerned about Germany's expansion across Europe. Finland was adamant in its neutrality during negotiations with Russia. Russia on the other hand was determined in its own national security.

@cykey21 Ooohh alright thank you for clearing that up for me I really appreciate it. The only other way that I could think that you could survive a headshot is if you are like the guy on Fallout New Vegas but now i get it. Now what I don't understand is that I though the Germans were moving into Finland and the red army was sent in to repel the Nazis so that the Finnish wouldn't be oppressed by Hitler. or was that Poland....?

@cykey21 you are right, thumb from Finland :3

@Deathworm13 Do you mean Russian Sniper Vasily Zaytsev?
-
@TGTnewage No, Simo Hayha was part of the Finnish militia and served during the Winter War of 1939-1940. The winter war was the Soviet Union vs. Finland. As for being shot, I meant that he was shot in the face (specifically the lower left jaw) not the head. His fellow soldiers who retrieved him later said that, "half of his head was missing". You can also see photos of Hayha after and during the Winter War.I hope this clears any misunderstandings.

@cykey21 If what you are saying is historically correct if White Death was a Russian sniper why did the Russians try counter-sniping him, shelling him, and then finally shot him. Also if he was hit by a headshot how did survive a bullet to the brain and wake up at the end of the war?
