@earthwormjah was I arguing for palestinians? I thought I was arguing that the wall is further antagonism that will inspire future attacks. also why do you think anyone would want to stay in Israel if it didnt have religous value. Its dry, you constantly have to look over yer shoulder and the only thing it has to give us is some citrus fruits.

@twizelby For someone who has never been to Israel, you seem pretty comfortable making ignorant generalizations. If you don't care, why are you arguing for the Palestinians?
-
@twizelby sorry chalmers*
-
@twizelby yes it is terrible that people die because of this conflict its downright morbid but if you ask me to predict the future based on the current direction of both American military action and Israels own land grabs its even less pretty then what is going on right now.
-
@twizelby thats beside the point right now. If you dont understand the historical context of the concept of blowback from the American perspective go read Calmers Johnson and then read the history of the CIA. Antagonism only increases religious zealotry. Things spiral they dont just stop when you make a big pretty metal wall.

@earthwormjah actually yea the tamil tigers suffered discrimination in the marketplace and in the stripping of their land so it doesnt surprise me at all what the Tamil's did. you are still missing the point of what I am talking about. I really dont care about some dried out husk of holy land so why should my country even give two craps about Israel. I dont care if people blow themselves up because of some juvenile need to play make believe with holy books.

@twizelby It's incredibly ignorant to accuse the I.D.F of human rights abuses, the United States and ISAF forces work with much looser R.O.E. Fuck, look at what the Sri Lankans did to the Tamils in 2008, you don't see deluded pacifists complaining about that. War is not perfect and never has been, but I know many people who have served in combat units in the I.D.F, and the follow incredibly strict R.O.E's. To compare them to jihadi terrorist scum pisses me off an is just plain ignorant
-
@earthwormjah all I'm saying is the unintended consequences of such acts usually far surpass immediate results. just because I believe in the concept of blowback does not make me a dirty stinky hippie, and just because I dont think that palestinians are the only ones commiting human rights abuses does not make me naive. in fact I think it makes me realistic and practical to believe that people are people even if the have a more advanced and less "savage" army.
-
@twizelby If memory serves, East Germans did not fire Russian anti tank missiles at west Berliners, nor did they sneak across the border and kill children in their beds. The only way the Palis can get anyone besides deluded granola eating hippies, and/ or Europeans (same thing) to believe in their cause is when they stop acting like terrorist savages.

If the Jews would give back the land they illegally stole from the Palestinians, they wouldn't have to worry about terrorist attacks.
