This is a Solar Kit I got for Christmas from Denise:-) It is pretty cool and cost less that $40. You can find sellers on the internet. WORTH BUYING. Thought it was worth sharing.

PRODUCT INFO:

Triple Action Solar Car Robot Kit
from OWI Robots

Sleek, powerful, unearthly, and very cool... this futuristic solar car is an exciting way to demonstrate the use of alternative energy. It features an aerodynamic sports car shell design, a 4-wheel chassis, a powerful 1.4 volt, 350 milliampere solar cell (included) and transparent plastic body that can be painted or left clear to display the car's inner mechanical construction. The steerable front axle, rear wheel and adjustable (directional/angle) solar panel mount are all independent parts, allowing for separate solar projects. The TRIPLE ACTION SOLAR CAR kit is also convertible: (1) The two-way battery source allows for battery or solar power; (2) the kit design is aerodynamic racer or tractor, and; (3) it features a multi-speed transmission. This is a marvelous educational science project for ages 9 and up.

  • What kinds of light bulbs did you use?

And which ones made it go faster and which ones didnt work as well?

  • Hi,

I used a 35 watt Compact Florescent 5000k white light.

It worked better than a 60 want incandescent spot light.

    Thank you for the question.

  • looks kinda cheap

  • It is made good for 37 bucks. The shell and larger option is kinda cheap as it tapes together. Also, don't need a battery powered toy, unless you consider the flashlight.

  • With hands that fast, you have a job waiting for you in China.

  • Not sure if I could handle the pay increase.
