My father was stationed at RAF Waddington when I was around 16. At that time they were renovating the plane in preparation for bringing it back into service. I was lucky enough to be invited to have a look inside the plane and it was an amazing afternoon. The one thing that stuck in my mind though was the Elsan toilet just forward of the rear gunner position. It had never occurred to me that they may need a dump on those long missions

OMG! The 'City of Lincoln' flew over my workplace in Chippenham on 27th August 2009 at about 10:15am. It flew from Lyneham after refuelling. It made my day to see one of 2 flying 'Lancs' in the world! Brilliant!
