Thumbed up because you didn't kill the bug :)

You know, I'm not too sure. I felt it was to put a sort of comedic edge on things to lessen the dramatic edge of story that could (and of course, should) be taken very seriously. But I'm sure plenty of people have a better theory than that.

Is there any obvious reason to why the main characters first and last name are the same?

I read Lolita this summer on a long busride, and didn't find it that boring. As the plot moves forward in the second half I find that the characters really build and you learn more about how they cope with the situation.
As for your review, your'e getting good, no need to be so hard on yourself in the bottom of the screen ;)

As it usually happens with works by "masters of a written word" the obvious story line have least significance. Try to read his other works when you are older (at this age they may seem even more boring than Lolita) P.S. Wouldn't it be silly of me, to research Tarantino's criminal records to check if he has slain anyone, trying to explain monstrous tendencies I could pick up from his movies using my excellent knowledge of psychoanalysis? :)

@maxtotiev haha. Can I ask how old you are? I just turned 24 today (woop!) and I'd be curious to know what you thought of his stuff at different times when you read it.

@sparkylee16 well I feel less bad now hearing you felt the same too, haha. It stinks not loving a classic, and then trying to defend that feeling.
