Actually Frank (David Rufkahr) died of a heart attack in '96. David was my cousin and he was just a rancher from Bend Oregon before the commercials. He tried out for the bit on a lark when his wife dared him. By all accounts so far...Ed ( Dick Maugg is still alive

I am watching Son in Law w/ Pauly Shore and he calls the grandpa Bartles & Jaymes LMAO, he is like "omggggg Bartles & Jaymes, your so popularrrr on the college cirrr-cut!"

Dick Maugg died of a heart attack in 1996. I dont know which of the two he is..but :-( he died ..too bad I loved those commercials..Thats what I just had last night a Blue Hawaian Bartles and Jaymes hhmmmm
