How 'Minority Report' should have ended!

I'm fed up with Spielberg's sugar coated endings these days... he needs to grow some balls and end films the way they should do.

This is a quick re-edit to the end of Minority Report, so that it ends the way i think it should have done! :-)

OH please!!! This ending would not have given Phillip K. Dick's story any credibility. Even though the film deviated from his story, it HAD to be proven that the Minority Report was indeed intercepted and the whole thing put in place by Lamarr Burgess (who, I know, isn't even a character in the short story). Your idea would have made this a non-movie event!! Hisssssssssss!

@pacific707 I haven't read the book so can't comment from that aspect. But i felt the "happy ending" just too sickly. The film was so dark up to this point... and i was on the edge of my seat shouting "Kill the child murderer!", but when it was unveiled to be a conspiracy etc... i felt let down. It was almost a Bobby Ewing in the shower moment for me! LOL...

Don't be so bad to Spielberg. He actually directed a bunch of the very best films in the world. And at least one isn't sugar-coated at all (Munich, 2005). Pick rather some really bad directors like Michael Bay.

@anotherdisc I love Spielberg! I just think as he has got older... he has made some bad decisions! The endings to this, War of the Worlds, A.I. and Indy 4 just build my case. He needs to get back to the Raiders, Jaws, and ET days! My god the guy was THEE master film maker... sadly not so much these days... although i kinda blame Lucas for Indy 4... what a pile of poo that was!!

the ending is ambiguous anyway. you could say when he gets "halo'd" that is the last time we see anderton. the last 20 or so minutes is him dreaming in his coma.
