Debussy's miniature for Clarinet and Piano or Orchestra, a rarely recorded, short but beautiful piece from his latter years; composed in 1910.

Enjoy!

  • @meyaracing what state are you from? in florida its only a 3 (out of 7)

  • @jesshall222 no, its grade 6, im doing it for my exam, i think!

  • really beautiful i am thiniking about to play it for solo on my clarinett :D

  • Petite Piece was a piece created for the first-sight reading part of a clarinet concours in 1910. So, the piece is not dificult to study and play, but it has some sight-reading traps, and also the unexpected technical difficulties on both ends of the clarinet: the little finger keys AND the thumb A/Bb/G# and register keys. Plus, it works in a slightly unconforable area of the clarinet register, so it's a little harder to achieve nice legatos and stable dynamics. Well played, it's beautiful.

  • @bet1wibb2 You say that, it is much harder to play an easy piece and make it mean something, try to move your xaminers

  • wow, this was taken so fast

  • I love this piece! I'm actually playing it for solo and ensemble, and it's absolutly beautiful!

  • @EnnahKasko - i'm playing this for my grade 6 clarinet in trinity guild, it's fairly easy compared to every other piece i have! but it is really nice to play, the middle is a bit tricky but the rest is practically the same 2 notes alot!

  • i think its grade 5, it is quite difficult to play though!

  • does anyone know what grade this piece is? or what is the difficulty level? it's not thaat difficult, is it? I need one more short piece for a recital (1-2 minutes long). If anyone has recommendations or something like that, please let me know :)
