Yes I took a safety course - if you count a strict police background check, mountain safety examination and personal visit by the local arms officer to check my house is secure and my firearms are being safely stored - all of which are required for a firearms licence in New Zealand.

@50CALHITMAN Have you tried shooting a .44 magnum double action? the trigger pull unless he modified it is in the 12-14 lbs range. Cocking the hammer back drops it to 2-3 lbs. Just easier to do.
