You have to understand that I never said it is a requirement for women. But that it was practiced in the prophet time.
Yet what you are saying it is prohibited in all forms and it is Haraam but you have no evidence for your claim.
It is just contradict with what was applied in Prophet time.
You are saying that with no evidence to support your claim.
Therefore, it will be better for you not to share misleading information unless you have a source for your claim from the Qur'an or Hadith,

Like i said, Female Genital Mutilation (or FGM) is haraam. Also, the Hadeeth which is used as "proof" is considered weak by scholars. It is not mentioned in the Qur'an that it is a requirement, and if you read al-bukhari and Sahih Muslim it is not mentioned there either. Show me a hadeeth that is not considered weak, and i will believe it. I am responsible for what i say on the day of judgment. and so are you. May Allah (SWT) forgive us both for our sins, Ameen.

Don't spread wrong information. But you answer is partly correct.
FULL Circumcision is prohibited for women. BUT there is a specific type that was practiced during prophet time.
Learn about it before spreading wrong information. You are responsible for this and anyone who you misguide will be asked about on judgment day.

Female circumcision is done by cutting a small part of the skin that looks like a roosters comb, above the exit of the urethra. The Sunnah is not to cut all of it, but rather a part of it. Al-Mawsooah al-Fiqhiyyah (19/28).
The correct view is that it is not obligatory in the case of women; but a Sunnah. Benefits: prevents stimulation of the clitoris which makes it grow large and causes pain; prevents spasms of the clitoris which are a kind of inflammation [Dr. Haamid al-Ghawaabi].

We do not know of any hadeeth in which the Prophet (pbuh) ordered that his wives or daughters be circumcised, but it is narrated by Abu Dawood (5271), al-Tabaraani in al-Awsat, and al-Bayhaqi in al-Shuab from Umm Atiyyah al-Ansaariyyah that a woman used to do circumcision in Madeenah, and the Prophet said to her Do not go to the extreme in cutting; that is better for the woman and more liked by the husband [Saheeh Abi Dawood].

Circumcision preformed on women is totally against ISLAM! A husband and wife are suppose to enjoy sexual intercourse together, it is even an act of worship. Female genital mutilation prevents female sexual pleasure (which is the whole reason it is practiced). The reason circumcision is prescribed for men is because it prevents illness to take place, while in women it causes serious infections that can lead to death. Its a cultural practice, and something to be ashamed of if committed on a girl
