This cerussite snowflake comes from Tsumeb in Namibia and measures 100mm x 75mm x 20mm. it was quite tricky to light with its combination of parallel reflective surfaces and semi-transparent nature. The mineral is a simple lead carbonate PbCO3. The white tac is ugly and we need to find a better way of standing the specimen up on the rotating platform.
360 WebVideo is producing rotating video images for the display of three dimensional items like minerals across the net. Unlike 360product photography, where a series of still images are stitched together, this is true HD video which can be shot anywhere where the piece is located.
