haha i wish.
it wasnt a different cam or anything.
the previous owner we bought it from thought the transmission was going out so he got halfway through removing the tranny, then realized it was to much work and sold it to me.
we have realized its just the clutch hydraulics that are going out, not the transmission.
and when he tried removing the tranny, he also removed a section of the exhaust, so all that was left was the 1 foot long header pipe right out of the exhaust manifold.

Clutch hydraulics...Master or slave cylinder? The master's not so bad, but the slave is a pain in the ass to do without removing the tranny. Take a look at my videos, I've got a turbo swap in progress. I dropped the engine and tranny (still attached) out the bottom after pulling the subframe. Did a slave cylinder while I was there, didn't want to have to mess with it later...

we honestly dont know. maybe its master, maybe its slave, maybe its both... im hoping its just the master cause like you said, the slave is massive ass pain...
