The voice acting is bad I agree, but I never found it to be annoying either, so I can tolerate it, and I think Alf's voice is actually good. Now, what I don't get is why this game is begin bash because you have to level grind? Isn't that the main point of Jrpgs? Level grinding is what makes an RPG fun, its a sense of accomplisment that you get everytime you level up and make your characters stronger. This game is probably one of the better JRPGS I've played in a while.

is there no option for japanese voices? i mean there are subtitles I usually prefer japanese voice actors with anime or certain games like eternal sonata

@kztar621 It got to this game by an accident and it really caught me. Yeah, the voice acting bothers you a little, but you get used to it, or if you can¿t stand it you can simply mute it and stuck to the text.

About the difficulty spikes, the difficulty levels between normal monsters and bosses is quite high, but as you said in your questions, is about training a bit. Actually the bosses are difficult enought to be challenging but not enought to be near impossible.

@johnnymurda can you change the voices to Japanese in the US version? If not, can I just mute the voices in the game, or I have to mute the tv which will also mute the music of the game?

This game deserved it's self a pitiful D. The map was ridiculous.. i couldn't find shit and when i did i couldn't load into it!! The voice acting was horrific! and the characters were so dull and ugly... worst game i have ever played

It is not a bad game but i stoped playing around 3/4 of it. The voice is really the worst I have ever heard in a video game. PERIOD.

I digged this game ever since it was announced, yet, I haven't bought it because I've kept reading really bad reviews.

Is the voice acting really that bad? Is there an option to shut the characters the hell up and stick to text a la Golden Sun? I don't really mind having to read instead of just listening.

And the difficulty spikes? Are bosses really that extreme or are reviewers just being lazy and not training enough?
