  • There's one phrase all people should learn before speaking about my Marines. Every Marine is a rifleman, no matter what MOS or job they choose. I will not show any disdain towards you emugsymeg, but I request that you refrain from showing disrespect to the men and women choosing enlistment/officer training to be part of the most powerful fighting force on this Earth. And for our prestigious bands, they put in extra effort to show the perfection required to play as The President's Own. Oorah

  • Great job! Really? Talking about no woodwinds? It is not uncommon for a military band to use a "cut down" or ceremonial band. When a venue can not support a full band, a group will use the minimum amount of musicians to perform a piece of music properly.

Anyone that questions the marksmanship of military bandsman should stand 300m away from me and I'll answer that question for them.

  • @dasteufelhund The dead were probably all at attention and saluting.

  • In the burial ground? Can't the deads have some peace?

  • a fine rendition of our national anthem - i especially like this version at the sousa gravesite - happy birthday and god bless john philip! - thanks carl

  • I'm playing this in 2 days

  • well, brass=military kinda so it makes sense for it to be mostly all brass instruments :-) some of these start spangled banner band videos sound very "legato"
