  • I would love to see some flatpicking in these demos. Many of the people (myself included) are interested in these high end martins for bluegrass. Simply strumming it does not really tell us anything. Just a suggestion.

  • Very nice demo, looks like he's enjoying himself and that's what guitars are for, keep banging out those chords dude. Guitar sounds nice, but it's another Martin dred with light strings. You could get a Yamaha or Tanglewood solid wood for less than a quarter of the price that sound just as great with their standard light strings so why buy a Martin dred that is braced for mediums and then put lights on, bonkers.

  • @bobbybrown90 How appropriate that your name is bobbybrown. HAHAHA go do some more coke with Whitney and leave the musicians to their business. Love my Martin D-41. I like the demo's to hear different tones of each guitar. Made in America too.

  • Mine got stolen back 2005. Sure miss that guitar. O'well...!

  • @bobbybrown90

Well gee whiz it's not like people use chords when they play, I mean how DARE they use chords! Who plays chords on a guitar?! What a hack!

    *rolleyes*

  • @MorrellMusic i believe what bobby so un-eloquently meant was....instead of having some guy just play a bunch of chords, why not show some of the guitars range by hiring a flatpicker to showcase the martin's true sound qualities...the majority of people who will be buying a guitar like this will be playing in these bluegrass/acoustic setting so it seems appropriate to get a flatpicker to do the demo...at least that's what i think he meant!

  • Hi, thanks for the nice demos, enjoy listening.

But I have a question, what exactly should I imagine under the term "select hardwood"?

  • @MorrellMusic Good point - most people will want to hear something that they can play and the strummed chords give a true idea of the guitar's projection and tone as it is likely to be played by the majority of people. This guitar is not really a pure fingerpicker's guitar anyway as it is too big and the bass and mids will always power out over the trebles. I would sure as hell like to fingerpick it just fine though.

  • Dude....easy on that thing, youre playing music, not trying to beat the shit out of it.

  • @MorrellMusic

I think what he's trying to say is that it gets extremely repetitive, but of course, in a rude manner.
