This is a short peak at a performance I did at the National Guitar Workshop this past July 2007. Continuing to have the incredible opportuntiy to play with best drummers on the planet, I was able to hook up with current Charlie Hunter Trio drummer, Simon Lott, for an impromtu rendition of "Funky Miracle" from the Meters. Simon is a New Orleans cat so I figured, 'what the hell'. I'm only putting out the improvised dNb outro though. Why? Because there's enough guitar lunacy out there to watch--some of which I'm responsible for one way or another--and I wanted put out something different. This video has got a lot of my bag pretty well covered: complex harmony, live sound manipulation through pedals, live looping sans looping device; all over modern rhythms like Drum'n'Bass. Good stuff.
Unlike the other three videos previously uploaded, I'm not going to tell you what I'm using. Instead, you'll have to wait until my upcoming video pedal column goes on-line this coming fall 2007 on Ultimate-Guitar.tv (sister site to Ultimate-Guitar.com). I will be continuing my column and movies from Guitar One magazine, Pedal Points, in video form only. It's going to rule--I promise. The music heard underneath the outro credits and shameless plugs is the second half of my solo from a tune called "Fumble Fingers" from the Alchemists Vol. 2 shred compilation put out by British guitar music label, LNR. I co-wrote, arranged, and recorded the tune with Canadian guitar lunatic Dave Martone--who by the way throws down on this track ... buy the comp and check it out! Speaking of great drummers, that's Gene Hoglan from Strapping Young Lad bashing away for us on that track--I love my job. Thanks to Simon and Jon for good times and great playing. Stay tuned for more ... ...
dude, you kinda look like Tom Morello in this video... its the hat, 5 o'clock shadow and how high you're wearing your guitar... of course the sweet playing helps with that too

@BradSpead7 Can't deny that on this one :) Morello is one bad ass guy with a guitar in hand so this is not a bad thing.

Are you looping the same chord over and over? Or are you just manipulating the delay times of the chord with the expression pedal? Or both?
Is being done primarily through the Line 6 DL4?
I have looked all over the internet for your columns on this matter, but I cannot find anything. This is something I would like to start experimenting with. Please help.

Both! ;)
All my Pedal Point videos were up on YouTube but I just checked the user's page who had uploaded them and his account is suspended, sorry!
