Wow I was such a kid back then.

***PLEASE READ THIS! My Mistake to all who got the first chord wrong. The first note i mentioned was fine, 3rd fret 4th string. But for the 2nd one I got tongue tied, it's 2nd fret 3rd string.***

Have fun,
Ian.

  • I'm having trouble with the tuning I put it in and then the chord you show us first. Maybe make a 15 second clip of the tuning then show us the cord, because when I tune with DADGCE then do the chord it sounds quite different from yours.

  • AHHHH! My Mistake to all who got the first chord wrong. The first note i mentioned was fine, 3rd fret 4th string. But for the 2nd one I got tongue tied, it's 2nd fret 3rd string! Sorrrryy...

  • kinda a n00b question, but i'm new to altered tunings. is it ok for the neck/stress/tension of the guitar if i leave it in the DADGCE tuning for.. days? since it'll take me a decent amount of time to learn this song.

my guess is that the E tuned down to D will offset the B tuned up to C. is this correct? this tuning doesnt seem to extreme to me, but just wondering if its "healthy" for the guitar.. thanks

  • Hmm... a few hundred of grams in tension shouldn't be too bad. I leave my guitars in random tunings all the time, they do shift a lil overnight but I just readjust in the morning. I guess if you have a cheap guitar like me you don't have to worry about it.

  • Excellent, did you figure all this out yourself or have you had lessons with Antoine? I understand he does workshops sometimes. Also, doesn't it hurt your fingers when you damp the strings with your closed right hand like that?

  • Yea just eyes and ears, plan to keep it that way :P but it would be nice to play with him. You mean string slaps with the knuckles? Skin gets use to it over time. :P

  • thanks for this tutorial

  • Heck yea, TP is key, and i'm not talking toilet papes. THUMB PICK

  • great tutorial, not too slow at all. It really helps me when you keep your fingers on the chord and play it over long enough for me to soak it in. Welp, i'm off to check your other tutorials. Thanks.

  • @corbin720 it is ok for u to leave your gutiar in whatever tuning u feel like, even if it's a matter of months.

  • Soo much easier when I read the description ^^

  • your videos are really very very useful

    thanks a lot ;)

  • hey luigi you suck

  • Dude you're a fucking legend. If I were learning by a tab it would've taken like an hour to get all this but thanks to you I've got this down in a fraction of that. Shame I don't have a thumb pick though lol. I'm using a cut from my bank card celotaped onto my thumb haha.

  • Thumb pick. Haha. I love mine. Gives the ability to chord and do percussion without holding a pick or having the squishiness of your thumb.

  • Good player!
