  • @hockeygirl1031 im bord in 1991 but i buy 1930 a ford, i hate new cars, fuck them. i love my old gold car (hot rod)

  • So many careers were made from this movie. And Suzanne Sommers was driving the T Bird. Great movie. The second one sucked.

  • I have a few hot rods.. now...1931 1951---1964 and 1966 love the whole scene...but they mean nothing unless you experience the era...I was in high school early 70's first car was a 1969 442 olds with a standard shift and a 400 engine...I remember when this movie came out I was in 10th grade......not that removed from the 1962 setting.....wow....was just a great era....and unbeleivable times!! we were truely blessed...now that I am a geezer.....I still love it!!

  • Tbh, there's no reason for modern cars to not look like this in my opinion.

  • the opening shot of this movie is ingrained in my BRAIN

  • @emjee Hi. I agree with you about how you could fix them back then. Modern cars suck in comparison that way, they do not break down as often, but when they do it's misery. Although the metal was thicker on old cars as you say, modern cars have a higher chance of occupant survival in collisions. many of those old cars had single-circuit drum brakes, non-collapsible steering wheels, air bags were unheard of, head restraints seldom if ever seen but man they were cool like todays' cars ain't.

  • @freethoughtmusic You might get some argument about the new cars being more reliable, or more safe. The thickness of steel on the body of a car was roughly twice as thick then as the shell of todays vehicles. And back then it was much MUCH easier to figure out what was wrong with your car and fix it yourself.
