Kyo: A Life So Cold

So here it is. My first ever Anime Music Video (AMV). It's been completed for awhile now. But I've been holding off on uploading it for various reasons. The main reason I'm uploading it here is so I can get my friend Shorty off my back about needing to upload so she can show it off on her myspace :P

First off, a warning... for those of you who have not seen the entire anime series (you're missing out. Go see it!), there are some major spoilers in this video. Particularly spoilers about Kyo, Kyo's past, etc. So if you don't want to be spoiled... you may wish to watch the series before watching my vid ;)

This is my first AMV, so keep that in mind, I only have so much knowledge of video editing at this point. It's to the song So Cold by Breaking Benjamin (lyrics to follow). It's basically a "life in retrospect" of Kyo Sohma of the totally awesome anime, Fruits Basket. I made all the clips myself, with help from various and totally awesome guides at AMV.org, and used Movie Maker to make the vid.

I'm not happy about what YouTube does to video quality. So basically, this isn't the best this vid can be. And the original version has a rain effect that I decided not to use here, because of what YouTube does to quality (it's not displaying properly even in my high quality version so I know it wouldn't here).

Anyway. Just to note... this is totally a FAN MADE PRODUCTION, AND IS IN NO WAY CONNECTED TO/ENDORSED BY THE ANIME PRODUCTION COMPANY, THE VOICE ACTORS INVOLVED WITH THE ANIME PRODUCTION COMPANY, OR THE MUSICAL ARTIST(S) SHOWCASED IN THE VIDEO. I just made it for fun. Because Fruits Basket, and Breaking Benjamin, totally rock. And so does Kyo! Though Haru's good too...

I can't remember the exact episode for certain. It's most likely from the final episode of Fruits Basket, episode 26. If it's not 26, then it would be 25. The scene is where Kazuma is remembering Kyo as a child, comparing him to his grandfather, who was previously cursed by the Cat. Kazuma was introduced in ep 24, so it *could* be from that, but I don't think so. I'm almost certain it's 26, or maybe 25.

I made all the raw video clips myself. I own the Fruits DVDs, which is how I managed to make them myself. I honestly can't replicate my process though, lol. I've tried. I made the files without sound and without subtitles, so they're perfect vid-making clips. The ones you see all the time with subs are because people use downloaded fan-subbed copies, which I refuse to do. But that seems to be a must for those who couldn't afford the DVDs, for which I went without food to buy ;)
