  • right on! Finally someone has said something about these anti-tax douchebags and this mentality.

  • that's true. but another basic economic principle is the law of diminishing returns. at some point, the marginal gain in wealth created by cutting this tax approaches zero.

  • @flyingturtle89 You are right, in a way. The problem is that lefties like TYTs like to maximize the amount of money raised and then find a way to spend it. Ideally, the amount necessary would be determined and then the appropriate rate determined to raise that amount. If the rate increases beyond the ideal rate, marginal returns decrease. This would indicate to a logical that rates need to be decreased until actual revenues decrease. This is rare at the federal level.

  • Mr. Uygur,

You obviously haven't the slightest clue about setting tax rates. You say that the leftists are the 'adults' because they thing that they should raise tax rates. If you actually gave thought, you would know that the 'ideal' rate of a tax isn't determined by what lefties think. Ideally, a tax rate is determined by making adjustments and observing the results. If taxes are cut and revenues go up, then they were too high. If rev's go down, then they were below the ideal rate. Think.

  • This is BS. You just make up figures the whole time and yell. Go pay your taxes.

  • Seriously, ppl need to be informed why you pay taxes and why its important to tax ppl. Cenk should have interview with a professors or whoever discussing their importance.

  • ...we haven't killed the donkeys and elephants yet. Rip off your blue and red ties and throw 'em in the damn trash Hannity and Colmes, your playing us like roosters in a cock fight. United we stand and divided we fall remember? I couldn't pass 8th grade and go to high school without memorizing that and passing the U.S. Constitution test.

  • I think what Mr. Uygur is trying to tell us all is that matters of state have become talking points for political candidates to gain votes, Republicans AND Cemocrats are tearing this country apart, what we need are PEOPLE, not POLITICANS, who make, uphold, and execute policies and laws that don't have a politcal agenda, but rather a goal to sustain and strengthen this country. Can you hear that? That's sound of the rest of the world laughing at us, this great experiment is dying, all because

  • No your totally wrong. Sometimes you raise them, sometime you cut them. Didn't Clinton raise taxes? How was our economy doing then? I believe it was pretty good. If we don't raise taxes, the budget will never get balanced and out economy will stay in the shitter. We have to start paying down the debt on the war and loans we took out to fund the war. If you don't want to pay taxes, then u should move to a small underdeveloped country that won't make u pay any.
