http://t.boyd.net/25y1;34952 Beloved entertainer and The Mirage headliner, Terry Fator will host a parade of the most loveable strays that the city has ever seen as The Animal Foundation presents its seventh annual Best in Show.
An annual tradition for six years before taking a short break in 2009, Best in Show is back to showcase approximately 60 healthy, happy dogs from the Lied Animal Shelter as they compete to be named Best in Show.
While these unique and beautiful shelter dogs compete in an AKC-style dog show, Best In Show has one wonderful twist: even though there is only one Best In Show, each dog in the competition can be a winner, as all of them are ready for a forever home and will be available for immediate adoption after the show.
As the largest fundraiser for The Animal Foundation, Best In Show is important in so many ways. More than 50,000 animals pass through The Animal Foundations Lied Animal Shelter doors each year. While the Shelters services are supported by municipalities, The Animal Foundation raises funds to help maintain these services such as adoptions, humane education and a low cost spay/neuter program. This year the focus is on the Shelters spay/neuter program which costs upwards of $250,000 per year to fund
