This Unimog is not a 404, the U 404 had a long wheel base and only came with a gasoline engine ... this was a NATO requirement at the time. The red Unimog having all the fun is a U 406 short wheel base with a 84 hp diesel engine. Also, the U 406 had components made by Case in WI for Mercedes, but it is not a Case!
