I turned the front speakers all the way down for this vid to better catch the music, which is broadcast from the gullbox speakers.

This is another awesome Touring Car Championship song that perfectly matches the frenetic action on this high-speed track. Also note the different ending music and name entry music.

I drove rather conservatively in the McLaren so I wouldn't capture the "Big One" on tape. Still eeked out the win at the last, though.

  • You probably already know that I LIVE for playing Beginner-Night when playing Sega Super GT/Sega SCUD Race. ??? When I heard this video, you replaced "Flight in the Dark" (my favorite song in the entire game with "Don't Drop Me" from SEGA Touring Car Championship, as well as another song. My favorite car, my favorite track, my all-time favorite arcade racing game... that's five star material! Great driving!

  • Yes, John, I love Flight in the Dark, as well. However, the more I play this game with the STCC soundtrack, the more I'm amazed at how well it fits. The only real bummer of this setup is that I really don't care for the Beginner-Day music (Are U Awake?). That song is pretty repetitive, and it's certainly not in the same league as Groovin Daylight. Oh well, you can't have everything. Thanks for the comment!

  • Kind of interesting that the Super GT code just happen to trigger the right tracks on the STCC board. I used to do something similar with system 11 pinball machines... putting F-14 Tomcat sound roms in a PinBot is great fun and you hear all sorts of unused sounds.

Wouldn't mind hearing the other music it triggers on the other tracks.
