@Travmapunk Oh come on. I don't care about the others, but how can you say that Chopin wasn't Polish? He was a Polish romantic = crazy for Poland. His last wish was for his heart to be brought to Poland. His sister smuggled it under her skirts.
As for the others... It's silly to claim that people born in the US are Polish, but Polish Jews indeed lived mostly in Belarus and Western Ukraine which used to be part of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. They escaped Russian antysemitism, not Polish.
