Sorry, meant to say, "Find a spot". Back to your original program.

I first heard this song on John Denver's "Poems, Prayers, and Promises" album. My friend and I argued whether it was a song to a baby or a lover. We saw him perform at the Dane County Expo Center in 1973 and in his introduction he said "both". Mary's version is definitely more of a lullaby to a child and very beautiful.

In my world this is the most beautiful song sung by the most beautiful lady and brings a tear to my eye each time I listen - Mary will always be missed!

She had a crisp clear voice. Perfection!

@bigal6868 - Your comment was so beautiful. What a lovely legacy of music for your daughter and now her four children. Mary must be smiling down from heaven.
When Mary sang this to her Grand Daughter "wiley" my heart melted not only for her grand daughter, but, for her daughter's as well. Heaven won't ever want for music again.....Mary is home.

A sweet lady and a sweet rendition of the song. May she rest in peace.
