fancy whackiddy whackjob things?
-
@TheCoolclassic Dave just hates all things metal.
-
@Jacobgordonguitarist The action is lower 'cause the strings are pulling more on the neck and so it's bowing more. Get the truss rode adjusted. If all else fails shave the saddle.

@martinrking Those bastards are the only reason I send some of my guitars in for new strings instead of doing it myself.

pointy 80s guitars! I have one, it sucks. I think if i were to let you get it playing right, (and it has one of those wackity wack things and thats why it wont stay in tune or intination) it would make for an interesting youtube video full of profanity. hahaha. Not to mention, the cost of repairs would outweigh the worth of the guitar. Its my closet guitar. It sits in the closet for a reason!

I suck with my knowledge of guitar tech. But I had 9's on my acoustic and just put tens on and the action is lower or at least appears and feels it. How does this work? Note: I believe they were 9's. I don't play much acoustic and hadn't changed the strings in over a year.

@Jacobgordonguitarist
an acoustic guitar needs to be strung with the factory recommended string gauges
deviation = trouble
