Recorded: August 2009.

I asked several questions of my close friends:
How long have you known me?
What was your reaction to my transition from male to female?
How will our relationship change once I'm living as a woman full time?
What additional comments do you have to say?
Thank you, friends!

  • Great video. Your friends all seem supportive and really cool.

It was interesting and enlightening to watch, seeing friends' perspectives as well as the vlogger's.

  • My friends are just like they seem. I also didn't know what their answers would be, so I found it enlightening, too. It is a special video, and I will try to think of a new big project to work on. Thank you.

  • That's such a great video! Wow. Great topic. I think I would have been afraid to even ask my friends to do something like this. Five stars all the way.

  • It was odd to ask my friends to do this. Since they are close to me, I am fortunate that they all agreed. Many of them might be on video online for the first time, so they would be justifiably nervous. This topic was something important, so I decided to give it a shot, and I'm glad it worked out. Thanks!

  • I thought I might add a comment. The video was great. It was a good comparison between everyone's point of view...which seems like everyone is on the same page. I think it is extremely important to have supportive friends, especially during this time of the process. I'm glad that everything is working out well.

    I love you! :)

    (hope thats not taboo! lol)

  • I don't think love should be taboo, or the process of transition. Thank you for your support, and I hope my appreciation is apparent. Things will work out, as they always do.

  • NIce video

  • For friends, it seems to go well, even for people who know me for years. These have been my closest friends, who are still with me. Family is a different relationship. I'm glad that I'm providing more perspective for everyone, but ultimately every situation will be different.

  • I felt a great deal of anxiety watching this, because shortly I will be in the position of telling everyone I know that I've begun transition. This has become a very difficult obstacle for me, because as painful as my life has been, I can't help but wonder if it could be even more painful to lose people I've know for 20-30 years. Watching this video has given me a somewhat different perspective. I think this was a brilliant topic.

  • That may be, but I know your opinion is biased! (wink wink)

  • I thought it might be important to see an aspect of transition that doesn't always known. I am fortunate!

  • I'm glad it turned out that way, and that they agreed to talk on camera.

  • powerful video...
