The very first Lincoln 10k was in 1997, when there were just 200 runners. Over the years, the event has got bigger and bigger and today's race boasted 5,500 runners -- a record breaking amount. Of those 5,500, a great deal were running for charity and so it seems, aside from giving the citizens of Lincoln some exercise, a lot of charities must have benefitted from Lincoln's sportiness.
This year's official charity for the race was Cerebral Palsy Sport -- a charity that provides sport and recreational activities for people with disabilities, especially cerebral palsy.
yeah you got me on film! great day, fantastic atmosphere, a perfect 1st 10k venue. I'll be back in 2012 :)
